My HSA account was deactivated by PayFlex because I did not meet vetting requirements. I have now completed the requirements for vetting. Am I allowed to re-open my HSA account and qualify for the EmployER Contributions?

After meeting the vetting process, you may start contributing to your HSA account at any time up to the statutory maximum for the year, as long as you remain in a qualifying CDHP plan for all of the plan year.  EmployER contribution funds will be provided if they were not taken as a credit previously.

The other stipulation in opening the HSA late is that the expenses can only be reimbursed from the HSA that were incurred after the HSA was re-established.
