Question: I am retired and now returning to work as a 120-day employee. I am already enrolled in retiree medical, dental and vision coverage. Am I also eligible for ACTIVE coverage?
Answer: Yes. If you return to employment within 13 weeks of retirement, you become eligible under the Affordable Care Act (ACA) throughout the remainder of your stability period (typically the end of the calendar year). We will automatically continue the same coverage you were enrolled in prior to retirement. The coverage is for yourself and your eligible family members.
**It is important to note that you have a choice to refuse ACTIVE coverage and stay enrolled in RETIREE coverage.
