If an agency has started payroll deductions for an employee, but PayFlex is not able to open the employee’s account during the Customer Identification Process (CIP), will the agency be responsible for refunding the employee’s deductions?

PayFlex will deposit the funds back into the agency’s bank account on file. For future contributions, the employee must provide PayFlex with the required documentation and verify identity before the account can be opened and contributions reported and posted.
