I have an employee that was full-time but has now reduced their hours to part-time. They are still eligible for insurance due to PPACA. Can they make changes to their coverage due to this status change?

The employee is allowed to waive coverage at that point. If they decide to keep their coverage, they will only be eligible to retain what they were actively enrolled in at the time of their status change and will not be eligible to make changes or add new coverage unless: 1) they have a qualifying event or 2) they retain eligibility and make changes through the Annual Enrollment period for the next year’s coverage.
