I have an HSA account under my previous employer. May I use old HSA funds from a previous employer to pay for qualified healthcare expenses while I am enrolled in my current PPO coverage?

Yes.  You may use old HSA funds from a previous employer to pay for qualified healthcare expenses that you now have, even if you are currently enrolled in PPO coverage.  The difference is that you may not contribute to that old HSA since you are not currently enrolled in a qualified high deductible health plan (by virtue of being enrolled in the Partnership PPO this year).     If you choose to enroll in the CDHP/HSA for 2018 and you still have funds in an old HSA with a former employer, you may initiate a direct transfer of funds from HSA to HSA:

1.      Go to https://stateoftn.payflexdirect.com/EmployeeLogin.aspx

2.      My Resources

3.      Administrative Forms

4.      HSA-For All Employees

5.      HSA Trustee Transfer Form

6.      Complete entire form and return to PayFlex
