If you are a Higher Education, Local Education, Local Government employee or a retiree and you are satisfied with your current selections this year and plan to keep them the same for next year, you do not need to re-elect any of your same selections again. However, networks and benefits may change and impact you so it’s still a good idea to review your enrollment each year. If you do not make changes, your current selections will remain in place for next year. Check with your agency benefits coordinator on how to contribute to FSA (if offered) or HSA. Your employer may also contribute money to your HSA.
If you are a State employee and you are satisfied with your current selections this year and plan to keep them the same for next year, you do not need to re-elect your same selections for next year except for FSA benefits. Since these benefits require an annual pledge amount, you must indicate a new FSA (Flex Savings Account) pledge each year if you want to continue to contribute to them. You can indicate your new pledge(s) for FSA on Edison using ESS.
