Access issues in the benefits WorkCenter
Problem:
An agency benefits coordinator is experiencing the following issues when using the benefits WorkCenter:
- Pages are not fully loading
- Limited access when entering benefit eForms for Annual Enrollment
- Difficulty navigating or viewing the Employee Profile page
Root Cause:
These issues are occurring because Screen Reader Mode is enabled in the user’s settings.
Resolution Steps
1. Review User Access
A Benefits Administration specialist should:
- Review the ABC’s access
- Assign appropriate roles to ensure access to the correct departments
2. Disable Screen Reader Mode
The ABC should follow these steps:
- Go to the NavBar menu
- Select My Preferences
- In the General Settings section:
- Locate the Accessibility Layout drop-down menu
- Change the setting from “On” to “Off”
- Click Save
3. Clear Cache and Re-login
After saving the changes:
- Log out of the system
- Clear the browser cache
- Log back in
The changes should take effect immediately after logging back in.
