If you have a health savings account you cannot have a medical flexible spending account, but you can open a limited purpose medical FSA to use for dental and vision expenses. Dependent care, parking and transportation flexible spending accounts are still allowed. Consider a L-FSA if you contribute the annual maximum to your HSA. This allows you to save tax free on eligible vision and dental expenses and expend the funds on those types of expenses during the plan year, while allowing your HSA to continue to grow.
