- Log in to Edison at www.edison.tn.gov
- Click Learning & Career at the top of the page
- Click Learning Home
- If you are enrolled already, the course will appear in the My Current Learning section with enrolled as the status
- If you do not see the class under My Current Learning, you can enroll in it yourself. In the Search for Learning field, type “HIPAA” and click the small arrows to the right of the search field
- A list of courses with HIPAA in the course will appear. Search for the appropriate Class Code for your entity. For local education or local government use LG_LE_HIPAA_YYYY (use the current calendar year for the YYYY). For state or higher education use BA_State_HE_HIPAA_YYYY (use the current calendar year for the YYYY).
- Select Launch
Edison will record every year you have completed the course. The course takes approximately 30 minutes to complete. There is a 10-question quiz at the end of the course. You must achieve at least 80% to avoid retaking the quiz.
Failure to comply with mandatory training requirements may result in suspension of ABC access. Training requirements will not be waived unless approved in advance by BA HIPAA Compliance Officer.
