Yes, the entire medical FSA or limited purpose FSA election amount, including any carryover amount, is available for your use shortly after the beginning of the new plan year. The state fully funds your election, and you may spend up to the full balance on eligible health care expenses any time thereafter. Reminder: L-FSA is only for eligible vision and dental expenses, and you cannot use this plan for medical or prescription drug expenses.
Is my entire dependent care FSA election available for me to use at the beginning of the year?
No. The dependent care FSA elections are only available to reimburse you for eligible dependent care expenses after they have been taken out of your paycheck and deposited with the vendor. In other words, you may only be reimbursed from the DC-FSA funds that you have deposited into your account.
