Medical FSA, limited purpose FSA, and dependent care FSAs are available to all active state employees.
Retirees and employees of local education or local government agencies are not eligible for FSAs through Benefits Administration. (Note: Higher Education should contact their human resource department.)
- A medical FSA covers eligible out-of-pocket expenses, like copayments and coinsurance, that are not covered by your medical, dental, vision or prescription drug insurance.
- A limited purpose FSA only covers eligible vision and dental expenses.
- A dependent care FSA covers eligible daycare expenses for your child or adult dependent while you and, if applicable, your spouse work or attend school.
