Your FSA coverage ends on the day your employment ends. You will then have 90 days after termination of employment to submit claims for reimbursement of eligible services. Claims submitted later than 90 days from your termination date will not be reimbursed. Any claims you submit must be for services provided between Jan. 1 of the plan year and the date of your termination. This applies to your medical FSA, limited purpose FSA and dependent care FSA.
You may be eligible to elect COBRA to continue your FSA or L-FSA coverage after separation from employment. COBRA is not available to continue participation in the dependent care FSA.
