For State Employees:
Full-time Newly Hired Employee - As a new employee, coverage starts on the first day of the month following the hire date and completion of one calendar month of employment. The exception is if a new employee starts on the first day of the month. Then their coverage will start on the first day of the following month with no gap. You must complete your enrollment within 30 days of your eligibility date.
Part-time to Full-time Employee - If you are a part-time employee and you gain full-time status, your coverage will start on the first day of the month following gaining eligibility for coverage and your submission of a completed enrollment form within 30 days of your eligibility date.
For Higher Education Employees:
